About Us
Founded in 2017 from humble beginnings in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Drive Coffee has become one of the fastest-growing coffee companies in the world, with over 2,000,000 cups brewed and customers in 20+ countries. In 2021 Drive Coffee was named The Official Coffee Provider of Formula 1, globally. Despite our global customer base, each batch is still craft roasted at 5280 ft in Colorado. Exceptional care goes into every batch, from selecting fresh, in-season green coffees from the finest producers around the world to ensuring that every batch is roasted to perfection. We roast within 48 hours of shipping to maximize the freshness, richness, and flavor of each unique coffee.

Grind
Grinding is one of the most important steps in making coffee; it will DRAMATICALLY change the flavor of the coffee. Investing in a high quality conical burr grinder is one of the best investments you can make in your coffee. Grind too fine, and your coffee will be bitter; too coarse, and your coffee will be sour. You want to find that middle ground where your coffee is smooth and flavorful. Your coffee particles should always be uniform in size when you’re done grinding. Keep in mind different brew methods require different grind sizes.
Brew
Once you have the right grind size, now it’s time to brew. Whether brewing with a drip machine, or more manual processes like Chemex, French Press or Pour Over, it’s crucial that your water temperature be at least 200° Fahrenheit (93.3° Celsius). Proper water temperature and grind will ensure that your coffee doesn’t end up sour or lacking flavor. If you like your coffee stronger, simply increase the concentration of ground coffee to water until you reach the desired consistency. Don’t forget to try brewing your favorite coffee as a cold brew too!
Enjoy
The most important step! Coffee is best enjoyed immediately after brewing. Try not to let it sit in a pot on a burner for too long. Once brewed, coffee will oxidize over time which changes the flavor and consistency. As we specialize in single origin coffees, we often recommend trying our coffees black first to get a feel for the nuances, and then adding creamers and sweeteners to taste. We highly recommend our sleek and spill proof, vacuum insulated, ceramic lined cups and bottles both for sipping around the house and on the go.
